Let's create a podcast together!

It is time for you to create a podcast. Here you have a step-by-step guide to do it yourself. It is easy and very simple. We will be using Snapvine to create it because it is a podcasting site in which you can record a podcast for free. It works as any other blog, but the difference is that you can record your voice. All you need is the Internet connection and a microphone. If you have a pair of headset, it will be really useful.
Are you ready? Let’s have some fun.

1. Visit the following site Snapvine.com and create and account. It is like creating an e-mail account. In fact, to log in, the site asks for your e-mail address. I suggest you use an easy password to remember. Just sign in and you will be set to start. You are free to complete your profile or not. You can also download a picture.


2. Once you have created your account, remember to connect your microphone to the computer.


3. In your Snapvine homepage, click on the link create new post.


4. A new site opens and it would say “Post to …” (Post to 'Beatriz Peñín's Voice Blog' for example).


5. Write a title so you remember what you recorded about.


6. Click on the microphone box and a little box will appear, asking you to allow the use of your microphone and camera. Please click on “allow” or “permitir” if it appears in Spanish.


7. Now we are almost ready. The box will have a “record” key and a “play” key, which allows you to listen to your recording to check whether it is good or not for you once you have finish recording.


8. Click on the “record” key and start talking and “stop” once you finish.


9. After clicking “stop”, there will appear a “preview of your blog post”. Be free to listen to it as many times as you want.


10. If you do not like it, click on “add audio” and repeat the process from step 7.


11. If you are happy with the results, click on the “publish” key, which is located in the bottom of the page.


12. You will get to a page in which you will see the title of your podcast and the final recording.


13. Click on “share”.


14. A little box will appear asking you how you would like to share your podcasting.


15. Please copy the “EMBED code”. It is like a long address.


16. Log in in this blog and add a new post.


17. Please write your name on the title of the post.


18. Click on “Edit Html” and paste the embed address you have copy from Snapvine. THIS STEP IS SUPER IMPORTANT!! If you paste the code in the “compose” version, you won’t be able to attach the podcast to the post.


19. Publish the post.


20. View the post and please be proud of yourself!!!
